Certificate of Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS)
The Certificate of Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) is designed for persons who hold an MDiv or other professional degrees in ministry and wish to engage in a significant program of continuing education without seeking a doctoral degree. The certificate may be designated for a particular area of study where appropriate faculty resources are available.
Course Requirements for the CAPS
The CAPS requires completion of 18 credits to be completed in an expected period of one year of full-time study or a maximum of two years of part-time study. There are no required courses for the CAPS, so consulting with your advisor to plan a course of study that best addresses your professional interests and needs is especially important.
