New Student Orientation 2013
PSR is pleased to welcome fifty-one new students to our campus!! For three packed days - August 26th through August 18th - these new students were introduced to our people, policies, and programs. In addition to sessions on topics like registration and meal plans, Cindy Pincus arranged for a number of wonderful events to round out the orientation experience.
On Monday, students were treated to an ice cream social, after which the PSR Faculty gathered to introduce themselves. Here Boyung Lee, Associate Professor of Practical Theology, Education, and Spiritual Formation, is talking to the students about her classes and theological grounding.
Tuesday held workshops on Self-Care and Trans Awareness followed by a meal where students were able to dine with leaders and fellow students from their denomination. At the end of the night, new students were invited to a student led worship service entitled, "We Make the Road By Walking." Below are a few pictures from the service, including an image of Lewis Eggleston at the altar and our fabulous choir rehearsing for the service.
Thanks go out to all the students, staff, and faculty who volunteered their time to create a warm and welcoming orientation for the new members of our community. We are so excited to have such a vibrant and talented group of people join us here at PSR.
