Presidential Search Committee Update

June 4, 2014

From Stan Watson, Chair of the Presidential Sarch Committee:

Within days of the conclusion of Phase I of the search, our consultants at AGB Search had begun reaching out and networking to identify new potential candidates. As of this writing they have spoken with over 50 people. Of those 50, they identified 10 potential candidates for the Committee to take a first look at. Of those 10, the Committee has or will have further conversation with 5 potential candidates. Those conversations will continue through May and when the Committee meets in June, the intention is to have a short list of potential candidates to meet and hold neutral site interviews with via Skype.

As Summer Session approaches, we are aware that the on campus availability of students and faculty changes substantially. Thus we are working to create a process that will include meeting as many members of our PSR constituency (students, faculty, staff, trustees, and community members) as possible.

Our next meeting takes place on June 17 and we will update you again on our progress at that point. As always, if you have any questions you may contact me, any of the committee members and Francesca McCrossan and we will be happy to address your concerns.
