Celebrating Rev. Ann Jefferson

November 7, 2013

As Rev. Ann Jefferson moves into her new position as Director of Community Life & Spiritual Care, we want to take moment to celebrate her 10 years of service to community education. Between CMS and TEL, she has been continuously devoted to providing access to theological education to people who might not otherwise have had the chance: people from marginalized communities, people with slim educational backgrounds, people without the finances to pay for full-time study, many many others.

She has been support, outreach, pastor, teacher, and guide to students who many on campus may never meet because they take classes at night, on weekends, or online. And many of those students found their calling and came to PSR to get their MDiv, and progressed to DMin degrees, including Bishop Yvette Flunder of City of Refuge.

Mz. Ann, as she's known at PSR, was a key partner in developing and launching the new TEL program and made sure that folks who may have thought that online learning was out of reach were drawn in. She made online community happen through her warmth, loving care, and her gift of connecting people, all of which she'll bring to her new position.

Congrats & blessings!
