Are you personally worried about the quality of our environment? Well, you should be if you have faith in the God who created us and every living creature on this planet. In living out our faith in the Creator, we must protect the earth, its people, its animals and plants, and our natural resources. Recently, however, Trump’s deep cuts on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) budget and the stringent executive orders that seek to undo the previously established environmental safeguards have resulted to the loss of livelihoods, annihilation of entire neighborhoods, and other deleterious effects on the environment.
You can’t afford to be complacent about issues that lead to environmental injustice, especially if these injustices stemmed from the Doctrine of Discovery, Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution of the United States of America, which are all racist documents. Go and tell your lawmakers about your concerns. Focus and work on the environmental issues that matter most to you. And, when you’re ready, you can march and protest or call and email your legislators about your worries.
