Marketing and Communications Director
Erin Burns is a Southern transplant to California. While attending Guilford College (home of the Fighting Quakers), Erin first studied the rich history of spirituality and social justice movements, especially the Civil Rights movement. She was involved in Guilford’s interfaith council and majored in Peace Studies and Political Science. In 2011, she earned her MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Erin’s communications career has focused on advancing social justice. Through writing and design, she’s helped mobilize young activists, counter gentrification, advocate for immigrants’ rights, and connect low-income communities with health care, food, and jobs.
Outside of PSR, Erin is a freelance illustrator and avid explorer of the Bay Area’s festivals, street art, and burritos.
