May 14, 2018 @ 2:00 pm

Poor Peoples Campaign

Somebody’s Hurting Our People: Child poverty, Women, and People with Disabilities.

The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival is launching a massive movement beginning with a season of sustained moral direct action to address the crisis of poverty, racism, militarism, and ecological devastation. Every week for six weeks, people from across the country will congregate at over 30 state capitals to raise awareness about the unique and common ways they are affected by these 4 interlocking crisis. Each week brave moral witnesses will participate in civil disobedience to withdraw their consent from a status quo that doesn’t prioritize the basic rights and needs of humans.

All those who are considering, or have the intention, to participate in civil disobedience on this Monday must arrive for preparation by 9am. Meeting location sent after you RSVP.
PLEASE FILL OUT THE RSVP form so we can be sure to get you all the information you need to participate.

Thank you for joining with us! Meet you at the Capitol!  (text credit: actionnetwork.org)
